Literacy Link

Concept: Literacy Link, formerly published by SVSU was created in an effort to create interest within the English Department. The original design had been printed on 20lb Bond paper folded in half to create a small booklet. The booklet was handed out around campus for free. Description: The redesigned Literacy Link Booklet is a sleekly designed booklet as an alternative to the original to create interest in reading the content that it was made for. I designed the booklet to serve those within the English Department to display their work in a way that respects its value. I created a quality design that follows the ideas of magazine design without adding any imagery. The design work also carries through with the theme of an ellipses as a glyph which ties into my work as a typographic symbol. I add my own writing into this document to describe the significance of the symbol and why I added it to this edition of the Literacy Link Booklet. Discipline: Publication Typography
