Respawn Point

Concept: This project is a five part podcast series that goes over gaming content with a focus on women in gaming. These podcast episodes range from ten minutes to thirty five minutes with a focus on one woman in content creation per episode. Description: My podcast, named Respawn Point, includes gaming news covering women in gaming and development. With five episodes, each being a spotlight on upcoming female gamers or game developers. There is not enough information on who’s getting big in the community (including people who code or design the games themselves) and theres also a stigma against “gamer girls” so doing this would help create a more open conversation about that same stigma against women and how more women are becoming more and more relevant in the gaming world. My audience range is from 13-30 year old women in gaming and design who are interested in finding a welcoming community, for those who don’t identify with the title of “woman” I use inclusive language within the podcast to be as inclusive as possible.
